The Participants for the Third Season of High Stakes PokerAfter a very successful first couple of seasons, High stakes poker returned for its third installment with the primary aim of improving its overall presentation as well as the competitiveness of the various poker games that it features on television. Because of this noble quest, various players from seasons one and two returned to compete with newer entries, to provide one of the biggest gaming spectacles in recent years. While there are many excellent returnees from seasons one and two of the televised poker series, there are numerous talented newcomers as well. Software designer and professional poker player Bill Chen graced the event for the first time to share his skills and talent in the game to his fellow players and to millions of spectators worldwide. Meanwhile, John D'Agostino wants to make up for his lack of any major victories from the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour with impressive wins in this high stakes event. Likewise, Chris Ferguson wants to share his poker skills and talent that earned him a total of five World Series of Poker bracelets. Top ranked poker player Jamie Gold was also in for the first time at High Stakes Poker Season 3. Phil Ivey, which is also known as the Tiger Woods of poker, does not want to miss the excitement and craze brought about this televised poker series. Gabe Kaplan, who also served as one of the game analysts for this major poker event, went out of the backstage and moved into the casino floor to experience what it takes to compete with some of the best players of the game. Victor Ramdin, David Williams, Brian Townsend, and Paul Wasicka were among the relatively younger players who took part in the third installment of High Stakes Poker for the very first time. Illya Trincher, Dan Shak, and Dan Harmetz complete the newcomers as well as the entire participants who graced Season 3 with their presence.
